Quiddity

Meaning: Quintessence. Thisness. The defining feature. The vibe, and various other hand-wavy concepts.

Usefulness: 1 (particularly in hand-wavy conversations)

Logofascination: 2 (comes with bonus synonym, haecceity)

In the wild: in the title of a rather odd-sounding book, the Quiddity of Will Self.

Degrees: 2

Connections: quiddity - quidditative

Which is used in: G&P, First Book, XIX: The oration of Master Janotus de Bragmardo for recovery of the bells. A tipsy lawyer pleads for the return of some bells which have, unbeknownst to him, already been returned. He speaks
"of their quidditative nature, to extraneize the blasting mists and whirlwinds upon our vines, indeed not ours, but these round about us. For if we lose the piot and liquor of the grape, we lose all, both sense and law."
